We make art happen!

A 501c3 organization. Founded 2019.

Our Mission

Our Master Arts Plan for Rutherford has been drafted! We are beginning the process of working with the Borough of Rutherford to enact it. Learn more about our vision for Rutherford.

The Rutherford Arts Council, a 501c3 non-profit organization, was founded in 2019 by the Pippin and Narucki families. Our overall goal was to drive increased funding towards arts programs in Rutherford New Jersey.

We seek to create a community-driven arts program for all Rutherford residents. Our main goals are to celebrate, inspire and support artists and musicians who are passionate about the arts, and to spark greater interest in the arts. This goal will be accomplished by unifying and expanding the existing art and music programming in Rutherford offered by the Adult School, Recreation Department and the Rutherford Public Library.  Additionally, we will also reach out to art and music related businesses, and to individuals, and professionals in the community who will want to contribute their talents to the enrichment of the programs. This program will include multiple disciplines for youth and adults such as: visual arts, community beautification, literature, movement and dance, theater, film, music, STEM, and technology and media.

Finally, we support the full restoration of the historic Newman Theater within the Williams Center for the Arts. For more information, please visit williamscenter.org.
